HRH Crown Prince Hussein on Tuesday visited the Jordan Valley's Deir Alla District, meeting with a number of dignitaries at the house of Muhammad Masalha
AMMAN — HRH Crown Prince Hussein on Tuesday visited the Jordan Valley's Deir Alla District, meeting with a number of dignitaries at the house of Muhammad Masalha.
The prince described the Jordan Valley as a "land of good" and a "Jordanian food basket", according to attendees.
He also conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah and his pride in the people of the district and the Jordan Valley in general, referring to His Majesty's continuous efforts to enhance food security and advance the agricultural sector.
Highlighting the need to keep pace with modern agricultural methods, the Crown Prince also stressed the importance of encouraging youth to establish productive and development projects and invest in the resources available in the Central Jordan Valley.
Crown Prince Hussein also listened to proposals presented by the attendees, which focused on ways to support farmers in the Jordan Valley and establish projects that provide job opportunities for people in the district.
A number of attendees voiced the region’s demands, most notably bolstering agriculture, improving services provided by educational and health institutions.
